Hello

In the CV it is very common to have a section which describes all the skills you have. I simply want to know what particular skills are employers looking after and how can i write my skills so it stands out in a CV?

Im a applying for jobs in Computing/IT industry - So should i just put down my general skills that most/all employers from all areas are looking for OR should i just list the skills which are specific related to the industry?

Currently my CV i only listed my skills are:

    Teamwork
    General Computing skills
    Langauge & Communication
    Initiative & Problem Solving
    Time Planning

However i do have a list of other skills which are IT related..

??

So any help please?

Thanks in advance!

You should include your educational background but you should also include both soft and technical skills related to the IT field to let the employer know your level of expertise. Those other skills are fine to include also, but make sure somewhere on there, the IT skills you possess get a section too!
