|
|
I'm 21 years old, from the EU and plan to apply for an internship in development, generally in fieldwork - though I wouldn't exclude other areas.
I would like to know whether I could do something to improve the structure of my CV (currently, it seems like a hybrid of functional and work experiences).
One of my problems is that I can't document specific employers and employment periods since most of the work I have done was for contacts/friends of my relatives or even my own friends and I did them outside a fixed employment period (i.e. no contracts or official salary).
I tried to vaguely write some dates.
Another issue is... should I elaborate more on how come I'm multilingual or will the reasons be evident when they read my education and nationalities?
Please also refer to this topic: http://cvtips.com/career_advice_forum/non-office-careers-related-to-my-interests-vt4534.html
(summary: I need a job outside office and desk environment due to my health)
Should I leave out my computing experiences for this reason?
I'd appreciate if you could find as many flaws as possible
Thanks a lot in advance!
Here we go...

The different groups I guided included students, business professionals, war veterans and elderly people.
Tour guide and interpreter for soccer team at European Champions League Nov 2005
In addition to the same tasks mentioned above, I held the responsibility of coordinating the transport of different groups of managers and sponsors, and moving large numbers of the soccer team's fans between airports, stations, hotels, youth hostels and the stadium.
Commercial relations, International students union 2006 to date
With the aim of expediting student life at my university by providing them with extra benefits, my role encompasses connecting with commercial partners to negotiate discounts and special fares, especially for stationery, photocopying and communication services, gyms, beauty and hair salons, restaurants and nightlife venues.
Selling sponsorship and advertisement space are also part of my competencies.

Internet security 2000-2003
Interested by the activity, I joined a global internet security unit based in Singapore, collaborating with leading international authorities and security software developers in order to tackle the increasing threats posed by misuse of the internet. Nov 2004 Model United Nations (MUN), xxxx, xxxx - winner coalition
Negotiating with competing coalitions, identifying and gathering key people in addition to a significant amount of lobbying assisted me in my role of interceding student delegates from entirely different backgrounds and working towards the resolution of our common goals.
Mar 2004 xxxxx, Strasbourg, France
Following intensive preparation on the European Union's sociopolitical institutions and a research into specific issues such as Advertising and Media Policy, my team and I attended a trinational week program that included an MUN-style “Model European Parliament”, in which we represented the Committee on Internal Market and Consumer Protection.
