Please can any1 help? I was made redundant from my job as a duty manager due to our shop closing. I've been job hunting for a few weeks now and through that I went to a recruitment agency for the 1st time. I really liked the office environment and wanting already to get out of retail, I thought maybe this could be the job for me. I have been researching RC jobs online but would love to hear from people who are doing this as a job already so I can get 1st hand advice.
Please help Shocked

I think the office environment can be a much more likable choice, as it seems retail these days are ever more the stressful. People are getting irritable and they take it out on you, but that does not happen so much in the office setting. I am a weird mix, as I do office for a retail company, but that does not mean I cannot get my head taken off by a customer too. Some perks are the lack of stress caused by angry customers, often times you get the opportunity to know those you work with a bit better, and you might just feel a general sense of satisfaction from the job? I know I am not a people person, but I am very good with customers. However, retail some days has been more than I can handle, even with a plastic smile and forced politeness.
