There are plenty of jobs, but you'll have to go through the visa machinery.
We have a page on Australia which will probably help:
http://www.cvtips.com/immigration/australia_job_interview.html
We did some research and got some assistance from the Department of Immigration, including some new information just released. Their website is a mine of information:
http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/index.htm
The important thing, which we stress in the articles, is that you need to get the paperwork right. You can bump into details, and that tends to slow things down quite a bit. Things can get messy if you don't.
Always make sure your visa is up to date, too, very important. That's the most common problem, people simply forget to renew.
Just ring up the Australian Embassy and ask, they can help you through the process.
For actual jobs, here are a few sites:
http://www.seek.com.au/
http://mycareer.com.au/
http://www.careerone.com.au/
As you can see, most of these are login/post your resume types of site. Suggest you set up your accounts, and check out the categories you're interested in, so you can do some reconnaissance before you arrive. |
