USA
I have been approved for unemployment due to mortgage company closed in MI. I than accepted a job in another field to have a job. Distance was 1 hour and 20 minutes from home. Due to gas prices, I was paying $164.00 a week in gas. Other bills were becoming delinquent. I quit.

I have reapplyed with unemployment, and have been told I will receive an answer in 6 weeks on my eligibility. Has anyone been approved in this type of situation?

Not sure how that will work out, but I think understandably you quit because of a good reason. You were paying out a bunch of what you were making and it was probably worth the bother. I am sure with the way gas prices are rising that this may be getting more common, I am just not sure how each state is handling it??
