I will be graduating in June 2009 and I am getting my resume together for job fairs and networking.
I guess that I can not attach the exact document, so I have copied and pasted it below. It is one page on the front plus 1/3 page on the back. Volunteer work and Skills is on the back.
Thank you.

Jennifer,
Firstly, really like your CV.
My suggestion for making it even stronger, would be to add a little more of your unique personality.
The reason; is that deciding to interview someone is a mini buying decision, and buying decisions are based on solving an emotional need backed up with logical reason. And in my experience this tends to distill down to likability and demonstrating you possess the skills, experience and or potential.
I’m not saying your resume is not likable, just that I would like to get to know a bit more about your best behavioural skills (its clear you have many- but what are your best or what do you enjoy most?).
Do you like helping others?
Leading teams?
Being creative?
If you in the process of adding an objective, I suggest you inject a few behavioural competencies in your paragraph. I would also be cautious about not making the objective too me, me ,me as the resume is for the benefit of your reader / recruiter.
If you want an alternative to a objective write a profile or summary statement, you may feel you convey a similar message but target it more towards the reader.
Hope this helps and good luck! |
