Hi all,
Im currently completing my GCSE's in year 11 and hoping to achieve higher grades in Maths,Science,English, P.E etc. I have been considering a career in sports, preferably a teaching role at a school. I've selected my desired A-levels (BTEC Sport,Geography and Biology) So over the last couple of months i've been looking for courses that are available to me in the future, I'm slightly confused about what grades are required at GCSE to go into teaching P.E , i.e incase I do slip up in Maths and get a D, would this hamper my chances to follow teaching, also i'm moderately confused about the courses. As most courses specify in Sports Science etc but not in the teaching roles, can someone tell what kind of path a person wanting to develop into a physical education teacher can take.
Would be a big help.

Cheers

You want to major in education, with your area of concentration being physical education. A lot of programs that are focusing on sports medicine are for that area only, not necessarily for teaching. Get with your school's counselor and tell them your career interests and that you need assistance and they should be able to give you plenty of help.
