Guys I am a senior at high school. I am really scared about my future right now. I do not for the life of me know what I should be! I want something that I can enjoy, isn't TOO tedious, and I can get a great pay off.

I really, really, really need help!

I've thought about being an engineer but I've read threads about how tedious the studying is.. So that put me off.

I've considered being a doctor, but the studying has put me off too along with I am really not interested in being a doctor.

Now today I was really happy because I thought I figured out what I wanted to be.. a physicist! Because thats what I am interested in and can find myself enjoy doing it in the future. I started researching and reading today about it, and people have said that the pay isn't that good and its a gamble being a physicist because there are an over supply of them and not enough demand.

Guys.. I really need help! Please help put me on the right track...

I think the key to your post is "senior in high-school"... you do have some time to decide what you want to be Smile

You are smart though for thinking about it early with this economy. I would say business majors are always in decent demand. Engineering, nursing are also good choice.

Major is not a huge factor, but it does help if you have certain skills that are in higher demand these days. Being a music major may hold you back slightly if you are applying to an accounting job.

Talk over your thinking with your guidance counselor and your parents. Also ask any of your best friends. Get a feel for what people are saying. I am sure you will realize you do not need to decide this very moment. You could also focus on what you absolutely do not want to do
Laughing

Good luck.
