Hi I've currently been a postman for the last 4 years & have since gained a handful of IT certificates A+, MCSDT, MCP, (desktop support level).
Haven’t had much luck finding any job in IT yet, as most employers are looking for someone with experience, but qualifications alone aren’t enough.
However I have been offered temporary 2 months contracts from job agencies though.
My strategy is:
- leave fulltime job
- work temporary contracts (whilst continuously applying for permanent IT jobs)
- gain & expand experience from this to put on CV
6 months down the line it should be much easier to find a permanent job as I will then have commercial experience to back me up.
But there is a financial risk because when these short term jobs expire it could be 1 week, 2 weeks or longer before I start another temporary contract.
Have any of you guys out there gone down the root or should I just be patient & wait for a permanent position to arise. |

It is better to leave a job, for gaining experience in temporary job. Because if we are not in good job & not paying more attention in that job, Its better to leave and join in job for temporarily or permanently which we are interested to gain experience.
