So what do you think of this CV? I tried to keep it to a minimum of 1 page as im applying just for a simple part time job for the short term. Ive listed education as priority because i feel i dont have that much experience in working so far apart from my parents business.
One last thing is do i really need to have a covering letter to come with the CV? Is it really necessary?
Thanks in advance. |

This is adequate, but a few points:
When applying for positions, you'll need to flesh out those qualifications a little, not to the extent of writing a book, but to add some connections with essential criteria.
One obvious weak spot is that your CV is a bit general, and you could look at some further qualifications.
Your strong suits are your higher qualifications, in career terms.
The good news is that mathematics is almost a lost art. You can add to that with some code writing, programming, or other qualifications which are actually pretty easy to get. The maths component is what they're screaming for in the codewriting area, because of all the formulae and calculation functions.
Physics is another rare attainment, and with the maths, you may well have a couple of aces in your hand.
Retail work, I'm sorry to say, is just plain tough. It's not you, it's the fact that there's a large floating population of people with retail experience. If you can do cash books, bank reconciliations, etc, you improve your chances.
On the whole, given your qualifications, I'd go upmarket with the physics and maths, see what you can get.
You may, possibly, be able to find some work at a junior level in codewriting, with your existing qualifications, or an internship. That might do the trick, in terms of the work experience you need. |

I understand it being a bit general but i thought CVs are suppose to be general and clear & simple(not long like a book) therefore employers can call you back for an interview to know more about you?
