Hi

I have a HND in computer studies.
Worked as an analyst/programmer for a small software company
for 12 years.
Relational database Oracle programmer.
Left IT 4 years ago. Would like to get back in.
But am out of touch.
What do I need to do to get back in?
Any advice would be appreciated.

If you have already had the schooling, then I think the only thing you should really need is a few classes to bring you up to date on what is now used in your field. This might not take much time at all. It depends on which would be easier for you--online classes or being in an actual classroom.

Hi,

Going for an Oracle certification will surley help or any other IT related certification in programming. Going for an Oracle one could keep you in the Oracle domain. Why not a Java certification ?

Start applying for jobs again in IT!

Where are you based ?
