my first ever interview is a group interview for a job in a liverpool fc store. i have no idea what this interview is going to be like and i would like some info of what to expect. i'm guessing there will be some role play exercises since it is a retail job and it would be really helpful if u can give me some hints and tips on this and other possible things that may come up.

nh2008,

As one of the posters touched on, group interviews are a little different in that they are also measuring how you interact with others. For this reason, I would not be overly aggressive during the interview if that is your nature. Instead, choose a more laid back approach where you try to get input from others. However, be sure that you make at least a few of your opinions known as you want them to know you have your own ideas and are not a lightweight.

Hope this helps,

Group interviews involve getting together with other job candidates to meet with one or more interviewers. Usually it involves a number of interviewers - managers or supervisors, human resources, even future co-workers and a group of candidates all together in one room. You may be given a presentation and then have a Q&A session, you may take part in work-simulations such as a group problem-solving session or you may be given team tasks to complete. A complete and free guide to group interviews, including group interview questions is given at
