Hi,
I've waited a week and filed my first bi-weekly claim for PA UC on July 20 but the field office is still looking for the 'Missing Quarters' (employer didn't report my earnings but I submitted copies of my pay-stubs to PA UC).
How long might it take for the feld office to find the 'Missing Quarters'?
Seems to me it should be a fairly quick process of contacting the company I worked for and requesting they submit my earnings to PA UC in a reasonable amount of time . . . |

I spent years in government, and this is obviously a potentially very messy bureaucratic process with a third party on the other end of it. A week would be reasonable for normal people, but not bureaucrats.
If the employer doesn't have their act together, or is being obstructive, the whole process defaults to a series of stages, time frames dictated by regulations.
Sounds to me like the time frame would be about what you'd expect of that employer. If they're jerks, could take a while. You might need to approach the field office and ask what your options are.
Stay cool, however infuriating this thing might seem. This is a one way street, and PA UC are pretty much stuck with their obligations by law. There's only so much they can do with this situation. |
