Hi,

I've waited a week and filed my first bi-weekly claim for PA UC on July 20 but the field office is still looking for the 'Missing Quarters' (employer didn't report my earnings but I submitted copies of my pay-stubs to PA UC).

How long might it take for the feld office to find the 'Missing Quarters'?

Seems to me it should be a fairly quick process of contacting the company I worked for and requesting they submit my earnings to PA UC in a reasonable amount of time . . .

Alyssa

I spent years in government, and this is obviously a potentially very messy bureaucratic process with a third party on the other end of it. A week would be reasonable for normal people, but not bureaucrats.

If the employer doesn't have their act together, or is being obstructive, the whole process defaults to a series of stages, time frames dictated by regulations.

Sounds to me like the time frame would be about what you'd expect of that employer. If they're jerks, could take a while. You might need to approach the field office and ask what your options are.

Stay cool, however infuriating this thing might seem. This is a one way street, and PA UC are pretty much stuck with their obligations by law. There's only so much they can do with this situation.

Thanks, Paulo;

Today I learned the local field office where the case was initially sent to has forwarded it to the Harrisburg field office because the Harrisburg office deals with companies doing business from the state of Texas . . .

I hope it doesn't take months . . .
