economics
politics

as subjects, at first i had mechanical engineering as my choice but, as i dont have pysics the standard of the uni would be comprimised, im very intrested in politics but cant envisage a career in it, so that leaves economics, basicly i want to make alot of money like all you guys so i want to choose a degree/career that will give be the best possible step.

Have you talked to anyone at school about your uncertainty? Like a career counselor or guidance counselor? If there is none avaialble, I always tend to recommend getting a book of career tests and taking a few to help find a direction, as well as talking to a teacher or advisor to help sort this out a bit. It takes a lot of thought and should not be decided in haste.

I think the old favourites are still going to be going strong:

IT
Law
Medicine

It really depends which area you feel most comfortable in. Which subjects are you taking at the moment?

Economics opens up a range of doors for you. My friend recently graduated from a economics degree and is working as a quantity surveyor for a large building company.

You can basically do anything with a economics degree as it shows that you can understand theories as well as understanding wider business issues, which a maths degree will not teach you.

hope this helps, Good luck in the future regardless of your choice.
