How easy is it for a UK resident to become employed as a chambermaid abroad?

Would depend on the country, of course. Visas are not easy to come by and requirements are different for each country. What you might want to do is select a couple of countries you are interested in and see if it is a possibility to get a visa to work abroad as a caretaker of children or housekeeper.
