Wow, those are pretty unusual circumstances. And its a given that if they even questioned you, and you wanted to prove it, you could show medical records as proof of this during your absence. Just be honest, when you start to review past job experience you might say something like:
I know there is a period of time on my resume that is unaccounted also, which I would like to explain briefly the unusual circumstances in connection with this." Without too much detail, you may then tell them you were in a coma as a result of an injury or what not and it led to this time gap. No more than a sentence or two, thirty seconds. But it is explained and their minds [and yours!] eased.
